About the Studio
A Time to Dance Studio was conceived in the year 2000 when I taught my first dance class, then the actual studio was born in 2008. The owner danced for the congregation of a local Church in on particular Sunday. It was this day that Minister Yvonne Scott-Miller approached me and gave me an opportunity that only God could give her a mind to do. Because of her generosity and obedience, We are able to do what we love on a regular basis for the people that have a desire and passion to dance. This studio was created to bridge the gap in the community regarding dance studios. As well as Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, here at A Time to Dance Studio, you will find instruction in West African Dance, Real Hip-Hop, Praise Dance, Diet of Dance, Belly Dance, Latin dances, dance fitness and much more... We have classes for the entire family from toddlers to adults.
A Time to Dance Studio has a beautiful facility that is located in a prime location on Sugarloaf Pkwy in Gwinnett County, GA. It shares the plaza with L.A. Fitness, and directly across the street from Discover Mills Outlet Mall in Lawrenceville, GA. It’s easy to hit the mall before or after class!!! We are a family friendly atmosphere and class sizes are limited to 15 per class which is perfect for getting that personal attention to technique that you need in a class. We have classes for all levels of dancers, whether you just want to dance as a hobby, dance for weight-loss/fitness, or dance to get trained for America's Best Dance Crew... We can Help!

About the Owner
 M Ms. V. Marie Murray has been a proud resident of Gwinnett County, GA for over 8 years. I am originally from Milwaukee, WI born and raised. I have been dancing since the age of 10 years old. My earliest memories involve winning first place from my elementary school talent show for a hip-hop dance routine I choreographed. Since then, dancing has been an integral part of my life. I have won numerous talent showcases through adolescence and adulthood. I have also entertained thousands of people through community events, festivals, weddings, school programs and other meaningful events. Also perfecting and performing West African Dance shifted my entire dance career and my experience began by way of an African Dance Co. in Wisconsin named Nefetari Dance Co. Above all, I truly enjoy sharing my gift of dance with anyone who shows any interest. I am known by all of my family and friends as," The Dancing One." I currently continue training in Hip-Hop and West African Dance thru Master Dancer’s workshops and training classes. My students have earned trophies, newspaper features, and community acknowledgment. Through sharing my gift of dance I not only make a positive difference in the community but also within myself.
